At Neon Sign Revival, we specialize in repairing and restoring authentic glass neon signs. Every sign is different, especially older advertising signs. We evaluate each sign individually and determine the best approach to getting it operating properly again.

How Much Does Neon Repair Cost?

The cost of a repair depends on what is wrong with the sign and how much work is required.

Many individual glass neon tube repairs or replacements are approximately $195–$200 per unit, depending on the repair.

Additional costs may apply if a sign needs transformers, multiple glass units, electrical work, specialty glass, painting, fabrication, or other restoration work.

We will evaluate your sign and discuss the repair before completing major additional work.

Local Repair Drop-Off

Our repair shop is located in Greenleaf, Wisconsin, just south of Green Bay.

Customers are welcome to bring their neon signs directly to us for repair.

We also have a secure 24/7 drop-off and pickup area, making it easy to bring us a sign even when our regular shop hours don't work with your schedule.

If you're planning to drop off a sign, contact us ahead of time so we know what you're bringing and can provide instructions.

Can I Ship My Broken Neon Sign to You?

In most cases, we do not recommend shipping an entire broken neon sign to us for repair.

Shipping an already damaged glass neon sign can create additional damage and can make the repair considerably more expensive.

For customers outside our area, we may still be able to help by supplying the individual replacement neon tube, transformer, or other parts needed to repair your sign locally.

Depending on the sign and the damaged section, we may be able to reproduce a replacement glass neon tube and ship it directly to you.

We also maintain a large inventory of used original neon tubes and sign parts. In some cases, we may already have the exact replacement piece you need.

Our inventory includes thousands of logged neon parts from signs we have dismantled or restored over the years.

If you can't find what you need, contact us. Our inventory continues to change as additional signs and parts come through the shop.

Transformer Replacement

Sometimes the glass isn't the problem.

A failed transformer can cause an entire sign or individual section of neon to stop working. We stock a variety of new and used neon transformers and can help determine what your sign requires.

It is important to use the correct transformer for the neon load. If you're unsure what you need, send us photos of the sign, existing transformer, and neon units.

Matching Original Glass

One of the advantages of working with Neon Sign Revival is our inventory of original and replacement neon glass.

Whenever possible, we try to match the color, diameter, bends, and appearance of the existing neon so a repaired section doesn't look out of place next to the original glass.

For vintage signs, having access to original used components can sometimes make the difference between simply making a sign work and making it look right.

Neon Tube Painting & Block-Out

Some neon tubes require painted sections to control where light is visible.

We offer neon tube painting and block-out services using materials intended for neon glass applications. This is especially important when restoring tubes that originally used painted sections or when recreating complicated vintage neon patterns.

Vintage Neon Restoration

Not every sign should simply be made to look brand new.

Vintage neon signs often have decades of character, and we understand the importance of preserving that history.

Depending on the customer's goals, we can work toward anything from a functional repair that leaves the sign largely original to a more extensive restoration involving glass, transformers, wiring, paint, supports, and other components.

We will discuss your goals before determining how far the restoration should go.

Please don't throw away broken glass pieces.

If a neon tube breaks, carefully save the pieces whenever possible. The original glass can be extremely helpful when determining the correct shape, color, diameter, paint pattern, and other details needed to reproduce the tube.
